The Alley Cat race basically makes a bunch of riders charge all over the city to various randomly selected checkpoints. At each checkpoint they have to get their manifest signed by the moderator there (and do any other menial task required) before racing on to the next. The only rule is to get all of the checks first (be sure to get the signature), and get to the finish line.
r.s.m.b. worked a checkpoint in Franklin Sq. Pk. and of course got photos of the riders that hit our spot. It was hilarious and luckily it was a beautiful day for the riders (and us to have a picnic in the park).
Afterparty followed at Hour Haus Studios.

So I have to talk a little about the real story out @ Franklin Sq. 1st, we watched mad bikers circle around a gigantic 4 block sq. park and never once look at us while we sat there in the middle and ate chicken.
2nd, we strategically parked ourselves right next to a water fountain thinking we were being helpful, only to find out that it didn't work (of course we're in da hood, what da fvck!), so it just serv'd to b a source of torture for er'y thirsty rider that came up.
3rd, people wanted to chill- for a long time. groups of bikers sat and plotted and even gave up and started again, for 5-10 minutes at a time! The longest was the bmx-ers, they sat and just freakin' vegetated for 15 solid minutes, and still managed to win cash!! What tha hell is that!?! it was ridiculous fun and craziness.
